『Formula 1 test driver Sakon Yamamoto and Harold Primat tested Charouz Racing System prototype at Brno this week. They shared the Aston Martin powered LMP1 prototype. The Japanese driver of the ING Renault F1 team ran in both dry and wet conditions. Primat drove only on Wednesday when the track was dry. “We wanted to test both Sakon and Harold as a possible drivers for next year,” said team principal Antonin Charouz. “Both showed that they are very good drivers. We will stay in touch as we are also with Portuguese Miguel Ramos who is also in the frame for next year. Both drivers were in Brno for the first time and also both sampled closed LMP1 prototype for the first time. “I like the experience with the team. The car is special. It is nice to drive although it understeered a bit at the beginning. I have contract with ING Renault F1 team as their third driver for the current season and I do not know what will be next year.
